Bucket list ’26 update #3 | VIP & Rebirthday

What a beautiful first half of the year!

Personal goals – bucket list style
Besides my bucket list I have personal goals for each year, however some of those goals fit the bucket list vibe. During each update I will share some of those things that I have been up to over the last two months.

May
Let me tell you something… I was so freaking happy how calm this month was! Honestly, the first four months of this year were a ride, so I really needed a month of nothing, cause I already knew I would be gearing up for a wild June.
The month of May was however perfect to enjoy the Le Sserafim comeback, planning future trips and I was able to get VIP to see Olivia Rodrigo next year on tour!

June
The month started insanely with me being able to get VIP to see Le Sserafim on tour in Amsterdam this year! Just a few days later I went on a last minute trip for a party, work meeting and to celebrate my rebirthday! The journey started in Utrecht for the party, but by evening I arrived in The Hague where I stayed in an amazing hotel. On my rebirthday I had a work meeting during the day, but I was able to celebrate my rebirthday in my own way. The next day (it was a two night stay) I went to Kunstmuseum and also did some shopping.
Other highlights of this month include a lovely call with a dear friend on the other side of the world, catch ups with other friends and some big milestones in regards to my company. So big I am wondering “how?” myself even though I was there!

After January, I am now knocking down April as my highest income month in my career ever to the second place. June turned into a new high in regards to my income and made sure I had a new highest turnover rate in a year for my company. That wasn’t all. My company moved tax brackets (again!). Don’t see the “dollar signs” just yet, cause I am going to have to pay a lot of taxes over this year.
However, I am not done yet. During the last update I already mentioned “still on my way of building my empire”, during the next update I hope to share more, but I did handshake on a new deal by the end of June for a big future project. That would mean I would be booked till next spring. And even after that, I have some amazing plans I will share in the near future.

Stay in a castle
Depending on how long you’ve been following this blog, you probably know all the unique places I’ve lived. From an estate to a museum. So the next logical step seems to me to stay at a castle, right?

Yeah, I know… this one has been on my list forever! And I just need to find a nice castle, make a plan and book it. My plan for now is to make it happen in the second half of the year, since the first half is already booked with other trips. To stay in a castle after I finished my biggest work project to date, sounds like a fun gift to myself. I am currently an interim and will be till late November. So when that project is fully delivered, I plan to take some time to myself and finally make this oldie of a bucket list point happen.

Take a cooking class abroad
Learning a language is learning a culture filled with history and food. I have fun in the kitchen with both cooking and baking, but taking a cooking class abroad always sounded amazing to me. So why not make it happen?

Immediately in January I started taking this point seriously. As of right now I have plans to go to Paris in autumn. There I want to take a pastry class which I have already picked which one I want to do. Now it’s just about booking!

Take a language class abroad
My language study time is sacred to me. Languages shaped the trajectory of my life. Because of my dedication to my studies I have been able to land multiple workpositions. With that I was able to go on adventures (abroad) and do the things I love. I think it would be so cool to do some language classes when I am abroad. So far, when I am abroad, I have only done immersion and practiced with natives and that has been amazing too. But I would for sure level up even better when I would follow classes and do immersion all at the same time.

Well… I can now officially tell you: this is not going to happen anymore this year. Due to some work deals I made, I have to sacrifice this point to make other dreams (yes, plural!) happen. Those dreams are very precious to me, and are worth giving this bucket list point up (for now). However, I am going to give you a small hint already of something else I am going to share soon. Cause I am going to take language classes abroad in either 2027 or 2028 and it will be long term.

Visit 3 new places
An oldie but a goldie on this year’s list. I have done this bucket list point multiple times on my blog, just because I think it is fun and important to push myself to discover new things and places. So far most of my travels I have already planned for this year are to places I have been to before, which is amazing, but I also believe it’s a good thing to shake things up and do something new.

What I already know for sure is that I will be going to Munich (Germany) this summer. I am thinking about Hamburg (Germany) and to visit some new places in France while I am staying in Paris.

See BTS in concert
Four years ago I pledged to myself that I wanted to see BTS in concert. It’s wild to me that I was 26 back then and now I am 30. I got older, but my wish stayed.

Back in January when the first half of the tour was announced I did not hesitate and booked my hotel in a city I have had on my list to visit for a very long time (Munich!). When the ticketing presale happened, I literally don’t know how, but I got the exact ticket I hoped to get. So I am going to make it happen; see BTS in concert!

How is it going with your bucket list?

Love,
